Best Sports TV Presenters
As an alternative to "worst TV shows", let's have a bit of positivity.

My vote goes to Gary IMLACH. Consistently peerless on ITV's cycling coverage. Knowledgable, funny, impervious to bullshit, a concrete-clad sense of perspective and not afraid to voice his opinion (which generally is spot on). Refuses to go on TWITTER as well.

Hazel Irvine does a great job on snooker and golf.

For a jock, she is a surprisingly pleasant person too

------------------------

I think Ally McCoist and the Gleneagles snooker table is also a fan of Hazel too!

Easy pink that night!

As for football I'm a fan of Mark Chapman. And Pat Nevin's a decent pundit on Five Live. Far too clever to be on TV apparently...

Imlach's very dry of wit rather than miserable. However he does sometimes have a laugh...

I like John Inverdale.... seems genuinely knowledgeable and interested rather than just a presenter.

Names escape the memory, but find Radio commentators better in general to those on T.V

I met Sid in Blackpool and sorry to say but he was a right plank. Long story but he was so me me me. I hate Alliss but have to say he made me burst out laughing once when he said live on commentary that he saw Carol Vorderman on Countdown the other day and got aroused. You could here the nervous stifled gasps and giggles and then he said "Seven letters, I was well chuffed"

No one mentioned Sid Waddel yet?

Who was the bloke in the Olympic rowing,
"The British are coming, the British are coming"

I like Peter Allis in golf but very marmite, some hate him
